No folks, it’s not fall yet. It’s late summer and I’m going
to enjoy it as long as I can. Yes, the weather tends to be
cool and gray already, but September has also brought
us some hot and sunny days so far and I’m clinging to the
last warm rays of sun before the year will turn cold and dark.

Let me say it bluntly: I hate the seasons of fall and winter.
I hate the darkness, the cold and the constant rains they
bring along. Chilliness and darkness make me slow and
lethargic like a lizard under the same circumstances.
I like hot and dry weather and a blue sky and the sun mercilessly
burning down on me. A short rainshower from time to time
or a good thunderstorm and then again respectable heat and
a bright sky, please.

So, please, let’s not talk of fall yet.

Nee Leute, es ist noch nicht Herbst. Es ist Spätsommer
und ich werde das genießen solange ich kann. Okay, das
Wetter beginnt schon kalt und grau zu werden, aber bisher
hat uns September schon einige heiße und sonnige Tage
gebracht und ich klammere mich an die letzten heißen
Sonnenstrahlen bevor das Jahr kalt und dunkel wird.

Ich will es frei heraus sagen: Ich hasse den Herbst und
den Winter. Ich hasse die Dunkelheit, die Kälte und den
Dauerregen, die mit ihnen einhergehen. Kälte und Dunkelheit
machen mich bewegungslos und träge wie eine Eidechse
unter den selben Bedingungen.
Ich mag heißes und trockenes Wetter und blauen Himmel
und die Sonne, die gnadenlos auf mich herniederbrennt.
Einen kurzen Regenschauer von Zeit zu Zeit oder ein
schönes Gewitter und dann bitte wieder anständige Hitze
und klaren Himmel.

Also bitte, lasst uns noch nicht vom Herbst reden.
