I’ve been busy lately
with meeting my obligations
but also with visiting friends,
inviting others over here,
and generally having a very good time
and enjoying the most beautiful summer in years.
I have learned a few new things
in jewellery making and have made
some new clay beads;
besides I’m cleaning and unravelling
outside and inside.
I hope this summer is as beautiful
and fruitful for you as it is for me.

Ich habe gerade einiges zu tun
um meinen Pflichten nachzukommen,
aber auch um Freunde zu treffen,
andere hierher einzuladen,
allgemein eine gute Zeit zu haben
und den schönsten Sommer seit Jahren zu genießen.
Ich habe ein paar neue Dinge
beim Schmuckmachen gelernt,
und einige neue Tonperlen gemacht;
nebenher bin ich außen und innen
am ausmisten und entwirren.
Ich hoffe dieser Sommer ist für euch
so schön und ertragreich wie für mich.

Vorgestern gab es noch nichts zu sehen was irgendwelche Erwartungen geweckt hätte. Und heute….
I planted them eight days ago. That is quite late but I’ll wait and see if they’ll still bear fruit this year.

I habe sie vor acht Tagen gesät. Das ist recht spät, aber ich werde abwarten und sehen, ob sie dieses Jahr trotzdem noch Früchte tragen.
